Hank Williams collection, 1948-1955.

This collection contains clippings, programs, newsletters, photographs, photocopies of photographs, and sheet music. Included are photographs of Hank with family members Lillian, Audrey, Billie Jean, Lycrecia, and Hank, Jr., programs from his Grand Ole Opry performance and his funeral, the sheet music of "Kaw-liga" and published photographic "scrapbooks" compiled and sold by his wife Audrey.

Hank Williams was born Hiram Hank Williams near Georgiana, Ala., 17 Oct. 1923. After being taught by a local African-American Rufus Payne and in the Baptist Church to play the guitar and sing, Hank began performing at the age of fourteen.
